“So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?”
This ayah appears 31 times in Surah Ar-Rahman. Thirty-one times Allah asks you: which blessing will you deny? Your heartbeat? Your eyesight? The air in your lungs?
Surah Ar-Rahman is called “The Bride of the Quran.” And it’s one of the most powerful surahs for healing — spiritually, emotionally, and even physically.
What Surah Ar-Rahman Is About
Surah Ar-Rahman (Chapter 55) starts with the name of Allah: “Ar-Rahman” — The Most Merciful. The entire surah is a tour of Allah’s mercy and creation. The sun and moon follow exact courses. The stars and trees prostrate to Him. He raised the heavens and set the balance.
And then — the descriptions of Jannah. Gardens with flowing springs. Fruits in pairs. Silk cushions. Multiple levels of paradise.
After every few blessings: “So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?”
The Healing Power of Ar-Rahman
Spiritual Healing
When your heart is heavy — grief, anxiety, or emptiness — recite Ar-Rahman. The repetition of “Fa bi-ayyi ala’i Rabbikuma tukadhdhibaan” is like a reset button for the soul. Each repetition peels away a layer of ingratitude and replaces it with awareness of Allah’s blessings.
Emotional Healing
If you’re going through heartbreak, loss, or loneliness — Ar-Rahman reminds you that the Most Merciful has not forgotten you. Every blessing mentioned in this surah is a love letter from Allah.
Physical Healing (Ruqyah)
Many scholars include Ar-Rahman in Ruqyah sessions. Listening to it recited beautifully has a measurable calming effect. Studies have shown that Quran recitation reduces cortisol (stress hormone) levels.
